Ms. Iram Majid, the Executive Director of APCAM and a certified Arbitrator and Mediator
Ms. Majid commenced the lecture by recounting her initial experiences in the field of ADR. It was immediately followed by an insightful analysis of Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. She emphasised on the importance of networking and quality internships among other things which assist law students to make a successful career in ADR. The discourse was kept lively by periodical questions from a varied range of participants.
Ms. Majid concluded the talk by giving some advice to future ADR practitioners. Ms. Dakshita Dubey, a student member of CCADR, gave a heartfelt vote of gratitude at the end of the programme. Around 150 participants from academia, law students from various universities and legal professionals from various organisations attended the event.
