The Advisory Board of the Chanakya Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CCADR) comprises distinguished jurists, arbitrators, mediators, academicians, and legal practitioners from India and across the globe. Through their expertise and guidance, the Board strengthens CCADR’s mission of promoting excellence in arbitration, mediation, negotiation, and other mechanisms of Alternative Dispute Resolution by fostering academic research, institutional collaboration, and professional engagement.
Mr. Sundra Rajoo is the President of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, former Global President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, former Director of the Asian International Arbitration Centre, and past Deputy Chairman of FIFA’s Adjudicatory Chamber. He played a pivotal role in transforming AIAC into a leading arbitration hub in Asia. A Chartered Arbitrator, Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, architect, and town planner, he has acted in over 310 international and domestic arbitrations and authored leading publications on arbitration and construction law. He was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Laws by Leeds Beckett University.
Mr. S Ravi Shankar is an arbitration lawyer with over 25 years of experience specializing in international and domestic commercial arbitration, construction and infrastructure disputes, Supreme Court litigation, and corporate matters. An Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India, he has handled high-value arbitrations under SIAC, HKIAC, and ICC Rules, and has been an invited speaker at various international arbitration and commercial law conferences.
Mr. Aakash Sherwal is a dispute resolution specialist with over 14 years of experience, representing clients before High Courts, the NCLT, and commercial courts. A graduate of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, he advises clients across multiple sectors and has been recognised as a Key Lawyer for Dispute Resolution - Arbitration by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2024 & 2025.
Mr. Shodhan Babu is the Founding Partner of PBS Law Offices and specializes in complex disputes and international arbitration. He regularly represents clients before the Supreme Court, various High Courts, tribunals, and arbitral forums, with particular expertise in energy and electricity laws, regulatory litigation, and commercial disputes. He holds an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a B.B.A. LL.B. from Symbiosis Law School.
Mr. Joe Tirado is an independent international arbitrator, mediator, conciliator, and ADR consultant with over 35 years of dispute resolution experience across more than 70 jurisdictions. A solicitor-advocate in England & Wales, he has handled international disputes exceeding US$10 billion and has served as a former ICSID conciliator appointed by the President of the World Bank Group. He is a globally recognised practitioner in international arbitration and mediation and has held leadership positions at leading international law firms and arbitral institutions.
Mr. W. Patrick McPhilamy, III is an attorney and mediator with nearly 35 years of legal experience and has served as the Principal Attorney of the Law Office of W. Patrick McPhilamy, III for over 25 years. He holds an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge, a J.D. from California Western School of Law, and is a Fellow Prime Dispute (FPD) and Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb). He is fluent in Italian and also has proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. E.R. Jayaram is the Dean of the School of Law at Mahindra University and a legal academic with over two decades of experience in legal education and institutional leadership. An expert in Intellectual Property Rights and technology law, he has played a pioneering role in establishing arbitration and mediation centres and advancing ADR and access-to-justice initiatives in legal education. He currently serves as a Member of the Bar Council of India’s Inspection Committee.
Ms. Shalini Sati Prasad is a Partner at JSA, New Delhi, with over a decade of experience in complex commercial disputes, domestic and international arbitration, and employment and labour law. She regularly represents clients before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, NCLT, NCLAT, and arbitral tribunals, and has been recognised as a ‘Recommended Lawyer’ for Dispute Resolution (Litigation) by The Legal 500 (2023).
